B TEAM CLIMB ALL OVER GEDNEY HILL!
Last Saturday saw our B Team entertain Gedney Hill
in the return League fixture and what a result! In blustery conditions South Kyme
scored a resounding 6 games to nil victory. Despite what the score line suggest this
was by no means a walkover with the team having to dig deep and in most cases turn
around a deficit score. This excellent victory puts us within one game of achieving
our goal of promotion - the final game taking place at South Kyme against Thorney
Lakes GC on Saturday 27 August where a win will definitely give us the League Title.

SOUTH KYME B TEAM SINK THORNEY LAKES TO CLINCH LEAGUE AND GAIN PROMOTION
A 50 foot
put (ok it might have been 15!) by John Stephenson clinched the vital half to see
our B Team win by 31/2 points to 21/2 against a determined Thorney Lakes side last
Saturday.
After a long season our B Team have finally gained promotion and cancelled
out last years disappointment; pushed all the way by a very capable side our team
dug deep to secure victory
and seal promotion by just one point from Sutton Bridge.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those players who have represented
the team this season, they have all been magnificent and the excellent team spirit
displayed by them throughout has certainly contributed to the teams success and we
should all be proud of them. The Team now look forward to next season and the challenges
ahead against what I am sure will be tough opposition.
