Our Ladies Section meets at 10am on Tuesdays when there are social and competitions
for everyone. Regular matches are also played and new members would be made really
welcome. Call Peter at the Club for more details. The Ladies Section, although small
in numbers, are a very friendly section who extend a warm welcome to all new members
whether they are new to golf or are joining from another club. Regular ladies competitions
are held throughout the year both during the week and at weekends. Ladies are also
made very welcome at the various club competitions, which are played at the weekends.
The Rabbits Section hold meetings on a Saturday and ladies new to golf find this
an ideal way to meet other members new to the game of golf. Friendly matches are
played against local clubs thus giving us the opportunity to play on other courses
and to meet old friends or to make new friends. Competitions and matches are also
played against the Seniors Section, this is an ideal way to enjoy a friendly game
of golf and to meet fellow members. The ladies have a tee closure on Tuesdays at
10.30 and members meet prior to this for a chat over coffee before playing. If no
competitions or matches have been arranged friendly games for those present are organised.
Should you wish to play for just exercise or for fun you can be sure there will be
a like minded lady who will be only too pleased to join you for a game be it during
the week or at the weekend. Junior girls are encouraged to join our ranks, play in
our competitions and test their skills against their older counterparts. Ladies Open
days are very popular with the lady members during the summer months and several
go to various clubs in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, often in groups, making
it a pleasant day out. Our own Open Day is held in September and this gives golfers
from other clubs the opportunity to play our course and sample our hospitality. The
Ladies Section have a committee who will be pleased to answer any questions you may
have on the section as will any lady member.
Ladies Day
Every Tuesday 10.00 for 10.30 start. All members are welcome. If no competition or
match is being played, a competition for those present is arranged. There are many
club competitions that ladies may enter - see fixture list above and/or the Ladies
and main notice board for these and any other information.
